Where was he when the Mean Machine was younger and undefeated, anyways? Hiding and still looking for scraps.
The truth is , all these new Boots fans screaming that Bud should face him are all Spence fans trying to get redemption

Here is Stanionis who's only on his 16th fight and these same fans have no problem seeing him step up already with Butaev, Ortiz and now they want him to face Ennis,...Stanionis fought Dulorme in his 13th fight, while Ennis fought a Dulorme with 5 losses in his 29th fight...the cherrypicking is mind-boggling. I could go on and these fans of his will continue to protect him as if he's their long-lost brother. These are not fans these are nuisance.

I just wish their standards were equal for everyone but doesn’t seem to be the case

You aren't going to get any actual names because Bozy nor Jaron can give you an actual name of anyone who has ever turned down an official offer to fight Boots. It's a narrative that they have/are using to keep him relevant enough to promote as a tough opponent. So far it has worked as he has been able to get the powers that be to strip a title from an Undisputed champ just a couple months after winning the title. Ignoring the fact that they are legally bound to a rematch clause.
What we do know for a FACT is that Boots and/or his camp turned down the Crawford fight twice. They were approached by the WBO & Crawford's camp prior to Crawford fighting Avaneysan. They were also approached after the Avaneysan fight by BLK Prime, before Crawford got on the phone with Spence for their match up. They reasons for declining those offers were loyalty to Showtime & $$ that they wasn't sure BLK Prime had the money to throw the event. (Weird considering, Boots largest purse is only like $500K, so he would have gotten a massive raise to fight FOR A TITLE vs Crawford)
This question shouldn't be a subject on a forum that is 7+ pages long, to answer. Literally NOT ONE NAME came out of Boots mouth when Crawford asked him the exact question when he called in to "Million Dollars Worth of Game" podcast when asked who he contacted to make the fight vs Crawford. He was caught in the lie because Crawford is straight forward. Something these YouTubers aren't. They are the ones feeding this false narrative because it gives them content for their next video.

Originally posted by HandsofIron View PostSo people have said guys like Thurman, Ortiz, Stanionis but the obvious answer is Terence Crawford.
With all that being said however, I'm going to tell you why Bud vs Boots will never happen.
Bud is at the stage of his career where he wants his name to be elevated, he wants the big time, brand building fights like a Canelo fight.
Boots on the other hand, brings nothing to the table, (I know he has the IBF belt but Crawford's been there and done that, not interested) and he has no fanbase right now and probably never will.
Boots may want to fight Crawford but his team not going to let him because that fight is too risky, they still need to make some paper before throwing him to the wolves.
Crawford and his camp along with the WBO contacted Boots camp about the fight and it was turned down. Bozy Ennis said the reason was their "loyalty" to Showtime. Ummm ok, being that Crawford wasn't contractually bound to any platform, why didn't you negotiate....Ironically, Crawford's fight vs Spence was on Showtime. Boots camp was contacted A SECOND TIME by BLK Prime in attempt to get a second fight with Crawford on their platform. Bozy confirmed that both conversations happened.
So again, how is it that Terence Crawford is the "obvious answer".....Make it make sense.
Crawford is a 2x Undisputed, 3x Lineal, 9x World Champion. Him looking for a big fight is what he DESERVES. Why do y'all try to make it seem like his hard work and accomplishments is minor, but then turn around and praise some fighter(s) who are TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT HE HAS......He's one of the most decorated active fighters in the sport.
Of course, Crawford isn't looking for a Boots fight at this moment.... Boots can't even get his handlers to get him a purse above $500K....... Crawford has made over $35/40M in his last 2 fights combined. It's been over a decade since he had a fight in which his purse was under a million.
And Thurman, Ortiz, nor Stanionis have avoided Boots either. Stanionis actually asked for the fight. Ortiz was open to it. Thurman is an accomplished fighter. Marketable, even though has been highly inactive as of late. He said verbatim....SEND THE CONTRACT......Yet, his phone has yet to ring, his email has yet to give an alert, the mailman has yet to deliver.....anything regarding the Ennis camp being interested in making the fight. Because THAT'S A FIGHT HE COULD ACTUALLY GET especially now, because he has something that Thurman is willing to fight for........

But truth of the matter is.............BOOTS DOESN'T REALLY WANT THAT FIGHT RIGHT NOW..... It just sounds good to say simply because it keeps him relevant and silly platforms and fans will help push the notion that he is being "avoided".......
These fighters know the protocol and how to make fights happen. It literally takes fights the ability of turning down an official offer for the fight not to happen. Like what Danny Garcia did to Crawford, same with Porter the first time before a purse bid, same with JARON ENNIS when approached by the WBO to be made the mandatory......

Many of the fighters he fought don't even have wiki pages. One that has is embedded inside those names and he got 10 loses when Ennis fought him in his 20th fight. His name is Mike Arnoutis and his loses were from Victor Ortiz, Danny Garcia, Chis Algieri, Josesito Lopez and some unknown guys nobody ever heard before.
