It wasn’t the number of rounds he lost against Taylor that makes me doubt him; it was the way he lost them. He had no answer what so ever to speed and technique.
When he turned the fight around, Taylors boxing was B or C - level.
Sparring with Chad is the right way to go, but I doubt Froch can make up the ground fast enough especially this late in his carrier.
Froch is a tough SOB and he will give young Dirrell a run for his money. I see this pretty even, and I don't believe Froch could win the entire tourney.
Good points. Like you said he's a tough guy both mentally and physically and those attributes can really carry someone even if they're lacking in other areas like speed or skill.
The contrast in qualities of each opponent really makes this an interesting matchup.
