I would like to see the two Smith's Joe and Callum go at it, they could fight over the title of Arthur's favorite son.

I agreed 100% with you. I was very impressed by his boxing IQ subtle defense and non stop action, if he wasn't throwing he was moving, he reminds of Duran, but the one thing he did that I loved, changing speed on his punches, he looked like Nolan Ryan a change up then a curveball follow by 100 mph punch.

I believe they're a couple of LHW prospects. Why recycle?

I always hate this argument, people use it with Inoue and Usyk too. We have no idea how many people may end up being HOF'ers 5-10 years from now.

Now with Artur that's more fair because he's almost 39 but with Inoue he's only 30. But you get my point. For active guys to have resumes full of HOF'ers it means (to me at least) that they're trying to get big names who are far out of their prime, like how Tank, Pitbull and Haney all feasted on Gamboa.

I get it. My point is that the poster was stating he was the best LHW of all time, in his opinion. I'd have not reply to him if he have said "he's the best LHW I have ever seen". Then again that's his opinion and probably he hasn't seen those I mentioned fight, he should take it a pick.

Why would he ever think he's the best? Cause he beat groves? A guy with a slim resume himself but groves and Smith fought at a time when froch and ward left the division and the top 5 consisted of Gilberto Ramirez Caleb Truax and Eubank jr...not joking. Best timing maybe

but u are the best, smith bro that is

dont believe it when mommy says you are the best, she says that to all of them

no wonder he big'ed himself up so much before the canelo & beter fights, i though it was just bravado and selling the fight but no, it seems he actually believed all he was saying, wow

You can hate that argument. But let’s be real.. guys like Anthony Yarde, Joe Smith Jr, Callum Johnson, Deines, Gvozdy, Kalidzkic etc are not suddenly going to start doing ‘great things’ and become HOF’s.

                  You have to be realistic.

Beterbiev is 39 but his style relies less on reflexes, speed, elusiveness etc.

Your legs are the first thing to slow down in boxing, Inoue could go on another 4-5 years. But 9 years? I don’t think so.

I think a battle between Joe and Callum Smith would be a pretty good tilt.

I never said they’d become HOFers, I’m saying I always hate it when “he hasn’t beaten any HOFers” is used to say someone isn’t great. It makes more sense with someone 39 over 30 though.
