    Beteriev has underrated defense

Smith has super fast hands and his signature punch is th left hand. He's got one punch ko power but he couldn't land his left on beterbiev not even once. Beterbiev saw it coming and blocked all of them. Noobs think he's a brawler with no defense but clearly it's tough to get a good shot on him. Bivol is getting stopped lmao.

He has, but that doesn`t mean he stops Bivol. he is actually a very responsible fighter, his offense is controlled.

i think people hear pressure fighter and they think uneducated like Gilberto Ramirez and David Benavidez. Guy has super amateur pedigree just like Loma Rigo and others, just didn't medal.

Don't forget this is a man who beat up Usyk and thus considers Usyk easily beatable and keeps picking against him because he was such easy work for Bertebiev he can't understand why other fighters struggle against him.

That's the level we are talking about.

His technical ability gets criminally overrated on here.

According to Compubox, Smith landed a slightly higher % of his punches on Canelo than he did on Beterbiev (18% vs 16%).

Beterbiev's best defense is making you know you're in for a mauling right after you think you just hurt him... That and over-par Ring I.Q, amazing timing and deceiving baits... He's all what's Boxing is about...

You look at the timeline and he used to fight light heavyweight but Russia had two good fighters and made them swap so he had to go to heavyweight (200lbs max) while the other guy got to fight at light heavy and then he only lost the olympic tournament to Usyk at heavyweight. He would have most likely got the gold medal at light heavy weight (which the other russian did)
