I think it's more that Teo is annoying and people would be willing to watch him get beatdown for his arrogance.

I don't mind Boots calling out Bud. It's the obvious move that he and others at 147/154 SHOULD be doing.

What bugs me about it is that he only seems to do that when Bud can't fight. He literally abandoned the WBO path which would have guaranteed him a shot when Bud was defending against his mandatories and Spence and the PBC were freezing him out with their "side of the street" nonsense, and went IBF instead, which only called for one mandatory in 4 years. Then he didn't petition for his shot once he earned it against Spence. Only petitioned for the shot once the fight and rematch clause was announced so he could get a shot at an email belt when the winner got locked into a rematch. Then he didn't call out Bud after the fight until Spence called for the rematch. If he actually wanted to fight, why wasn't he ringside at Bud v Spence and calling him out right after the fight? Why not petition to get his shot in the 5 months that Bud and Spence weren't in negotiations? Talk is cheap. He's only barking when it's likely the top dogs can't fight him. Heck, he's not even trying for Stanionis or Ortiz Jr.

This is a fair argument to make. Boots is clearly avoided. Boots reminds me of Cotto (maybe not as conservative as Cotto) because Cotto never chased anyone not called people out abrasively but he had the right promoter which is what Boots is lacking.

Crawford needs to respond to Boots but what did he actually say? He said he has no interest in fighting Boots but now he has interest in Teo!
If Crawford fights Boots, it will be no different from Canelo fighting anyone other than Benavidez.
