He admits that he thought Joshua would beat Usyk because he's a "real heavyweight". Well we know how that turned out.

Usyk is a fighter who has been in the ring with every type of fighter imaginable and he has always been able to figure out the other boxer, make adjustments, and win.
Fury is the opposite and just reverts to borderline cheating and rough house tactics to get the job done.

I have more faith in Usyk figuring Fury out than the other way around.

    UD-12 Usyk!

I could never understood the phrase "you are only as good as your last fight". This completely ignores the possibility of improvement. How you were 6 months ago, at least unless you are 40or something, doesn't indicate how you will perform in your next fight. This view also ignores slip-ups and poor performances. Consistency in performance is the only way to evaluate a fighter on, IMO. Unless the signs are so obvious and glaring that a fighter is virtually unrecognizable (but even then I'd hold my judgment). Compare Klitschko vs Fury and Klitschko vs AJ. Personally, I wouldn't attribute the difference in Klitschko's performance in these two fights only to Fury's "genius", Klitschko was hella motivated and prepared. He was 41 though and came millimeters to winning that fight.

So, I don't know if Fury truly has lost his step based on Ngannou fight or, even worse, if he is a "finished fighter" (whatever that means). I would definitely not underestimate him, even though I wish Usyk to win. Fury is a massive challenge to anyone and I'm sure Usyk also knows that. It would be idiotic not to.

We've all seen these "who has he fought?" or "he's not on that level" sentiments in boxing countless of times. Only to then read "a major upset" in the headlines. Not that Fury beating Usyk would be an upset.

Fury and Teo seem pretty similar. If they come in shape and on their game, they seem pretty much unbeatable and put on great performances. If they get in their egos and bring other stuff from their lives into the ring, they end up with performances that make them look horrible and overrated. And you never can tell with either of them which version will show up.
