  • Comments Thread For: Keyshawn Davis: "When I Stop Pedraza, There's No Denying Me"

Last year was sort of weird for Keyshawn Davis. He breezed through Anthony Yigit, stopping him in the ninth round. He then won virtually every round against Francesco Patera. The end of his year, however, was when things got strange.

Why is Pedraza, who's essentially on a losing streak and has been defeated 5 times, even by title challengers like Jose Zepeda, such a big win for Davis? Even if he gets the stoppage, it won't be the first time. Heck, it wouldn't be the first time Pedraza got stopped by a guy named Davis. Pedraza looks really shot to me, and this should retire him. If it doesn't, Keyshawn is definitely not the goods. Not sure what a win proves. Maybe if he does it in style and Pedraza fights a game fight?

What If you don't knock him out ? Or even worse? I think going down in weight at his age going to cost him too much stamina and will fold later in the fight.

It's KDavis' 10th fight. Which is better than what is in Jaron Ennis' record of 32 fights. And Davis is making waves already even prior to this fight. We didn't see that in Ennis when he was in his 20th fight. It almost seemed like Ennnis' camp intentionally kept a low profile.

Honestly, I don't see how Pedraza is shot despite suffering a lot of losses, sure he declined but he gave Ramirez, Commey and Barboza a run for their money. I could see how Keyshawn with a record of 9-0 struggle with his angles and pressure.

If anything I just wonder why they are making a declined José Pedraza move down a division and expect people to give Davis credit for beating him. Unless Keyshawn moved up for this fight.

No it's not better. And what does this fight have to with Ennis?

You're also comparing two different career paths. Keywhaw has a superior amateur background and is already 25. Ennis was 19 after 10 pro fights and 20 after 20 pro fights.

If this MF'er fought as well as he thought and I'm speaking of Keyshawn Davis, we'd all be thrilled but hell most often he boring as hell and I use to be thrilled because he had Norfolk roots like the great Sweet Pea Whitaker, but hell their like night and day.

He can’t afford any hirsute situations? Must be a Hans Themistode article.

Stop it Keyshawn! He's 34, lost his last 3 fights @ 140, and hasn't fought at 135 for at least 3 years! We know what it is!
