Do Mexicans have the highest number of fighters who tested positive/did some illegal shenanigans in fights? I swear. Though really, what Nery did against, Shinsuke Yamanaka was so shameful. The dude was about to make history if he beat Nery. Who knows, maybe Nery could of still won that fight without the assistance, but the fact that he cheated and stripped Shinsuke away from making history should be a bigger crime. I would of taken away Nery's entire purse after that. I'm glad he's banned from Japan, they don't need a POS fighter like him in their country that could cause potential death of their own.
Granted, I would LOVE to see Inoue beat the piss out of him. It's trash opponents like the Margarito's an Nery's of the world that deserve all the brutal beatdowns that they can receive.
It's funny we would never talk about Canelo that way because those were just tainted steaks, nothing more._Rexy_ likes this.

And then you think he's got to fight up 3 more weight divisions to get recognition as P4P? Canelo shouldn't be able to be P4P without fighting Tyson Fury then. Bud isn't P4P without fighting Canelo or Bivol. Haney and Tank need to fight Bud to be P4P. That's one of the ******est things I've seen on this site.
US fans are ******. There's NEVER been a market for the little guys. GTFO with the Pacquiao crap because A, that's one guy out of the entirety of history with a totally different frame and build from Inoue, and B, he didn't even become mainstream until he left the smaller classes. Chocolatito and Estrada aren't even mainstream here. Their best purses are what a middleweight contender gets paid in the US. Shut up and do your research. You don't know anything about the finances and your delusion that the US matters at all in the lower divisions is getting more asinine by the moment.

You're asking a guy who was getting 5-10 million eyes on in Japan as far back as Payano to get ignored in the US to satisfy your ******ity. He's fought in the US, and FACTS are that there are zero recognizable names in his weight class in the US BECAUSE THE US FANS DON'T CARE ABOUT THE LITTLE GUYS. Fulton was a unified champ and nobody cared about him here. They are much more interested in blowing smoke up Boots' butt, even though he wasn't a champ. Both from Philly.

Just more evidence that Americans don't start paying attention until the higher weight classes.
You're literally proving the point.
You have to dig back 20 years to guys who are ATG's to even find any that were at all of interest to US fans, and even then, they're earning fractions of the purses available to even the B-sides for Inoue in Japan.
SMH. Go back to school. You need help.
Let's also put things in perspective. Tank Davis made 1 million each fight vs Ruiz, Gamboa, and Santa Cruz. He made 2 million vs Isaac Cruz. Vs Ryan Garcia, he made 5 million after PPV cut. Inoue made 5.7 million just from the Fulton fight. Inoue already makes more money in Japan than the biggest US star below welterweight makes here. Even fighting Tank Davis he'd likely take a pay cut if the fight happened here in the US, and Davis would likely insist on fighting in Japan.Last edited by crimsonfalcon07; 01-10-2024, 01:50 PM.

Barrera v Morales one wasn't even a PPV. 2 was made a PPV and only managed 400k buys, and that was when boxing was doing well. 3 was at 130, when Americans start paying attention, and still only managed 325K. And the latest of those was 20 years ago, when Americans still cared about boxing. Barrera made only 1.2 million for his highest paying fight ever. Inoue's opponents who are unknown in the US to the idiot US fans make more than that fighting him in Japan.

You brought up Tank Davis, and even he made less in his biggest fight ever than Inoue did against the likes of Fulton in Japan. That was the biggest US PPV in recent years, and it still did worse than Inoue v Fulton. That was 1.2+ million buys, and Tank gets 5 million. Bud v Spence only sold 700k buys, but they each had 25 million guarantees.
And you have to go back 20 years to ATG's to find any fans who will watch the smaller guys in the US. Fulton was the biggest US star below 130, and he's not even going to sell out in his hometown. You think O'Shaquie Foster is going to sell big time? How about another Shakur Stevenson or Devin Haney snoozefest? Those guys are huge names and they can't sell for crap. How about David Benavidez vs Demetrius Andrade. Both big names in the US. 60K buys. The US can't even sell fights with its biggest names in any division.
