So where is Malik Scott these days? There usually not a week go by without reading an interview article from him. Was he fired?

Sounds like a desperate move, but if the same Wilder shows up, how on earth would the result be any different? Like I said, Zhang got power. He'll for sure knock Wilder out. You can't just put Wilder in with a new opponent and he's going to be back to the old. Wilder looked different the minute the bell rang for rd1. He just wasn't himself at all. Like he was out of the ring for so long, he forgot how to move around properly. It was BAD.
Wilder has no other chance, does he? If he wants a redemption, he must fight the highest ranked available guy. This is Zhang.

Nobody will wait for Wilder to fight 3 cans and come back in 2026.

Props to Wilder but Zhang absolutely mauls him.

Zhang is going to kill this meek version of Wilder

Would be great, too good to happen, if Wilder gets ko'd, career over. It's slow footed precision and skills against clumsy one shot explosiveness.
With Zhang's massive head, Wilder can't miss, on the other hand, he might be scared to death to throw and be countered. Wilder not hard to hit too so Zhang will land and Wilder's chicken legs might snap. You just don't know who lands first. I think Zhang beats him.

I think that's the problem. This new and UNIMPROVED Wilder is hesitant to throw. One of the commentator's during the fight with Parker said it best. Wilder was fighting like it was Parker with the freak power. It was just so weird to see. His fire to exchange wasn't there at all. I think that awakening stuff he took (don't remember what it's called) took the killer instinct out of him. He's just not the same dude anymore.

Everything I'm reading is speculative, so, probably not a done deal. It's an in the works deal best I can tell.

That said, I always back Wilder. My dude gonna retire this ancient jamook.
