Remember,it was a real world cab driver (Peralta) that last beat former top guy Robert Guerrero. And wasn’t it Salido (first to beat Loma) who was still driving taxis when he was active?

Seriously. Speaking of old guys still being players, Donaire at least had the benefit of being a former P4P fighter and easy first ballot HOF. But Barroso is supposed to be on that level? Almost all the names in the division just moved up from 135. Haney, Teo, Ryan. Sorta Rolly. Taylor is gone, and I was never that impressed with his competition. And Matías, who looks like the boogeyman of the division, but I don't know that he's some great talent. More evidence that these "glamour" divisions are just popularity contests, not that the fighters are actually better.

Barroso is just better than Rolly who is the worst of the champions, and he’s better than Eurobum Ohara Davies. He is not elite on the same level as Haney and Teofimo and Subriel Matias.

These guys don't have any special powers plenty of other guys don't. Not everyone had the opportunities Floyd and most recently Devin had basically never having had a job and given all of the opportunities going through the AM system as a standout.
