I actually think Joshua-Ngannou will be good for the division.

I HATE this circus sh**, I don’t engage in it whatsoever, never watched Mayweather-McGregor, never watched any of these YouTube clowns and I won’t watch AJ-Ngannou either.
However, should AJ dispose of Ngannou, which I fully expect him to, it prevents the likelihood of Ngannou rematching Fury if he beats Usyk for undisputed.
Instead, we likely get Fury-Joshua, an actual fight between two legitimate boxers and Ngannou probably goes back over to MMA.
Maybe, it plays out differently, but if this is how it shakes out, I’m all good with it.
Fury is a much better fighter all around than AJ imo and we all saw what happened in their fight
I can hardly wait for the three to leave the sport , the third being Wilder lolComment

Bunch of tribalism in here.
What's good for boxing? More attention and eyes on the sport. More interest. More people wanting to box. Honestly the best thing for boxing would probably be Ngannou winning. That would capture the attention of the masses. Would almost certainly get turned into a movie. Rocky for a new generation.
Guy already has a great story. Came from nothing, works his way up to UFC heavyweight champ, leaves UFC on top despite lots of shenanigans. Gets a historically good contract that makes the best contract in the UFC look pathetic. Gets his fight with Fury and loses a questionable decision to Fury (and yes, it was questionable; I've posted a breakdown of the fight and not one of the "Fury won easily" people has, despite repeated challenges; I doubt they even scored the fight seriously, or even watched it). Then if he wins against one of the more credible ex champions coming off a notable win? It's like stereotypical sport movie stuff. Would bring casual interest (aka money) to the sport for years to come.Comment

I just can't see him coming out in blast mode as Ngannou will clip him with an awkward shot. Ngannou has backfoot power and can fire a hard counter from weird angles.
A-Side aint some masterclass boxer who can go through the gears and he ain't an apex predator who can seek and destroy from the get go.
That's his problem. He doesn't know who he is anymore and neither do his endless parade of trainers.
Ngannou isnt a can AJ can expect to crush. This has the tone of a cherry pick that could go horribly wrong like Ruiz 1.Comment

Its the gullibility of this era and it’s not just the fans it’s the media outlets who don’t really study boxing . Both feed off each other it’s why it’s a reminder maybe social media wasn’t making boxing fans smarter when it should have ? Lol
Furys fight is actually an indication of how this fight actually goes . If you can spot the holes you know why it’s a clear win for Joshua if that same fight happens .
It don’t matter I’m already braced for every excuse when Joshua wins like clock work .Last edited by juggernaut666; 01-05-2024, 10:22 PM.Comment
