If his handlers are worth any ****, this should be the route he takes, not only he achieves a world title the fight becomes bigger, it's obly a matter of time before someone gets rid of rollie so might as well be ryan.
Isn't Rolly ordered by the WBA to make a mandatory? I get it if that wasn't the case. But just like Garcia pushed for the Wahid fight, he's doing the same for Haney, and his promoter is doing what he wants him to do.

Matias is good but isn't really proven. Hope he gets the chance to though. Teo/Ortiz, Garcia/Haney, Rolly/Mandatory, leaving Matias vs who? His promoter should get him a big fight next and Matias should be at every one of thos fights

Then he'll be stripped! Rolly is not as big as he thinks he is! He didn't beat Josh Taylor, nor Regis Prograis, he got a title by mistake, and the ref admitted he made a mistake!

Isn't Rolly tied up by the WBA mandatory? Barroso is fighting for the interim wba and then winners have to meet or am I wrong?

He wont get stripped for refusing a unification, otherwise we would have countless undisputed champs throughout the last few decades. He can keep fighting weak mandatories until a legit one comes and take the belt away from him, just like most belt holders do. (Old charlo for example)

If the negotiations break down due to money; Then it's going to look like a duck by Team Ryan and Oscar De a Hoya. However, I do agree with Oscar on this point though. A-side vs B-side should become irrelevant in 2024 when two fighters really want to fight each other.

Not sure if Oscar is cashing him out or not but he is doing what the crybaby wants ( things that would never happen at PBC cause of their protection plan and all )
Ryan will get what he’s asking for and more
Haney will beat him with his 168 lb frame
He’ll start by tagging him all over but Ryan might get that lucky hook and drop Haney
Well , then you know what will happen ; Haney will resort to old ways
The snoozer will begin around the 5/6th round
Haney winning a comfortable decision and Papi will declare him the GOAT

It's easier said than done. Haney has fought a lot of fighters with power. However, and somehow he always managed to dictate both the pace and tempo of the fight.

Let's just take the Loma fight for example: Devin stood flat-footed and toe to toe for the entire fight. He didn't run, hug or jab at all and yet Vasily still had trouble letting his hands go and putting combination punches together.

Haney still managed to neutralize both Loma's punch volume and work rate in that fight.

I totally agree. For the exception of Haney; I can see him defeating all of the current contenders and titleholders at 140. As a matter of fact; Team Teofimo Lopez has recently ducked Matias by pricing themselves out. They didn't want that smoke from Subriel.
