Who gives a fück ? A-side Joshy never fought Wilder. Never unified for undisputed and lost twice to a cruiserweight.
Exactly how legit is that ?

No one knows whether Ruiz or Usyk would have beat Prime Wilder. We can speculate and make up cool stories but that's all they are.
Joshua is a good fighter definitely. Not a great fighter because he never dared to be in taking on all comers and was exposed twice against Usyk.
A-side Joshy will never be mentioned in the same breath of greatness as the winner of Fury/Usyk. He'll never be the greatest of his generation or era.
He'll go down as a good fighter who was full if self doubt, fragile and insecure. Wilder will go down as the most fearsome puncher of his era and inspire arguments for years.

Having Wilder on his resumé would have been more than a solid win, it would have meant undisputed, unified and undefeated Heavyweight Champion of the World, at the time.
Not being that is a blight on Joshua's record because he coulda, shoulda, woulda but didn't. Same for Wilder.
Wilder is done. AJ still thinks he's the money man that everyone wants to cash in on so can still make with the A-side diva demands.
The Sauds are saying yeah, nah. Take a ticket, stand in line, don't call us, we'll call you while Hearn is having to walk back all the bluster and wind his neck in.

Now what imagine what a 300 lbs man does to with punching power, active and could hit??

all that doesnt mean much. its the quality that matters and if joshua beat wilder and wilder faded away into obscurity like hes doing now...he still doesnt have much of a resume to fall back on so it wouldnt be a great win. its like floyd beating baldomir or something. ok you became unified champ but you beat baldomir. not great.Last edited by daggum; 01-05-2024, 12:10 AM.
