I left it there for the idiots who think otherwise, I knew ultimately if I said he was the best someone would question it, I know he's the best of the generation but people will downplay him for his losses and how Americans perceived him initially.

Not a lot invested in Aj or anything, but not ready to write him off after the last fight. Hell, if Vlad turned things around, there is hope for aj. Vlad looked absolutely done at the top level after Brewster...most likely done at the mid level. Stewart deserves a lot of credit there.

I'd like to see Aj get one back for boxing and get one up on fury. I would also like to see Francis get that payday. He was in a lot of fun to watch fights in mma and got peanuts for it.

Fair comment. People were quick to disparage Wallin once AJ had battered him, saying how little he offered offensivly, but both fighters are part of the equation. One of the reasons Wallin looked bad was because AJ made him perform that way. Wallin had zero answers to what he was coming up against. AJ has his flaws, but he also has a lot of potent tools at his disposal. If Ben Davison can bring the best out of him -- and I think there are reasons for optimism there -- then AJ can still make some noise at the top of this division.

AJ dominates and knocks him out early, no other way around it. Ngannou's 15 minutes of fame will be up before long.

Lewis was the best of the generation AFTER Mike, Rid****, George, and Evander. Mike ruled the 80s, Holy rules 3/4 of the 90s. Evander was the better, more accomplished fighter, and went 24 rds with Lennox giving away 30-40lbs and hurt Lennox more than vice versa, and was the aggressor throughout. He did this at near almost 40, and being totally shopworn. Not knocking The Pugilist Specialist, but he got KOd 2x on 1 punch KOs by B level guys, and didn't really get into his prime until Steward changed him up and we got to the late 90s.

PSA for you and all boxing fans... it's Steward. StewarD. STEWARD. And while we're at it, no, Eddie "Hearns" isn't related to Tommy.

Perhaps but he got destroyed by two nondescript guys; Rahman and McCall. Sure he won the rematches but he still got KO’d by them.

Seems likely, but that's what Fury thought too, and Ngannou is really, really good at proving people wrong. I want to see more from both of them in any case.
