Good wins for what winning titles? That don't mean anything. Its not like he had some tough fights and was fighting the best. If he was the #1 p4p fighter i understand fighting these guys wouldn't make him lose that spot because they didn't represent a real challenge.

He was wasting time fighting Gatti, Baldomir, Mitchell.(In terms of legacy) And he was doing this fighting them one after another. Sure doing this for the time was a good business move.

Being undefeated is one of the things that helps him sell fights, but it doesn't make him the best and he will never beat close to being the best after many years of fighting low class fighters and fighters past their prime.

I dont think theres a name out their that was better now then before. Mosley is old although I think he can beat Floyd, Cotto has declined, he wont be a productive fighter after 30 he's hurt and has slow down. Pacquiao is the better of the three, but he's small and Floyd has reach and height advantages over him. But this all happen because Floyd retired for two years waiting for guys to be old and hurt. Timing is Floyds best weapon. He knew when to fight Mitchell, Gatti and Judah, but he did it when they were being served in a silver platter.

I don't see this getting anywhere. There was alot of interest for Mayweather vs. Zab Judah. Judah being very fast, athletic, south paw, people wanted to see it. Mayweather got ****ted on for going after the loser of Judah vs. Baldomir, so he went and dominated Baldomir. Mitchell was his first fight at WW.

OK we going to have to disagree. Hernandez was passed his best. It was farewell fight.

i can play this game too
HAHA, you beat me to it. By the wasy, David Diaz was a tune up like Sharmba Mitchell was for Floyd. Diaz had a belt which made the fight more attractive, but it was just a tune up to see if Pac can hang in a heavier weight class and win a belt while he was at it. Why not?

Another thing we going to have to disagree in. I think both beats him and Mora would give that version of Oscar fits. That version of Oscar was not a top fighter. He was a part time fighter and full time promoter.

Judah wasn't ready for Mayweather he just lost and then had a fight in just three months. It takes fighters sometimes three months to just prepare for a fight. Ask Mayweather he takes 5 months all the way up to a year. Anyhow anyone could beats those guys in those particular moments. That's not building history that's building wins against wimps.

You are right there was alot of interest for Mayweather-Zab. But, after Zab lossed to Baldomir that interest was gone. That fight should of never happened. Nobody wanted to see it anymore. Just Mayweather fans cuz they knew it was going to be an easy win.

And, he could of picked a better fighter than a shot Mitchell for his fight at WW. Again there was other 20 WW's who were better than a shot Mitchell

375,000 PPV buys, disagree. Take into consideration that Zab didn't lose badly against Baldomir.

He didn't lose badly? He still lose to a bum. The interest was not there. If Zab would of beat Baldomir. Then probably Zab-Floyd would of doubled their PPV #'s.
