In a pound-for-pound fight, Beterbiev takes away that looping left with his high guard and positioning catches him in between with short compact shots, and wears him down for a late stoppage. Smiths inside game isn't good, Beterbiev will be sitting on his chest with his short hard shots, but I do think smith has a chance if he lands he could get a TKO

Beterbiev is no spring chicken but even at his advanced age, he’s a strong pressure fighter. If Smith collapsed under the pressure of Canelo and was timid in that scenario, I don’t see how he overcomes Beterbiev. Unless Beterbiev is suddenly washed up, the only question is how badly will Smith get hurt.

I think Beterbiev destroys him. Smith got shut down by Canelo's punching power and Beterbiev is a much more fearsome puncher to deal with. He has a higher workrate, never lets up, is deceptively smart with how he varies what he is doing, and he is throwing destructive bombs. He will take away Smith's desire to compete within four rounds and then finish him if he hasn't already quit.

Beterbiev by total destruction, i just cant see how Smith would win even if the best version of him shows up. The only way he wins is if him and his brother fight a tag team match against Beterbiev.
