I recently watched Tyson vs Lennox again, after a long time

Tyson found success in the early rounds with his dipping and angling head movement, he got inside Lennox' guard and landed some very good shots

it took Lennox several rounds to truly adjust to Tyson's head movement and starting to nullify him

and this was a shadow of himself version of Tyson, who was nowhere near the speed & explosiveness of a prime Tyson

I got little doubts a prime Tyson would have beaten Lennox now

Well, some are of the belief that whenever Tyson lost, he wasn't at his best. Sure, he didn't best an all time great in their prime but neither did floyd

tyson managed to generate a fear factor for awhile which is not an easy thing to do, a lot of guys nowadays generate a factor alrite, but it can be more like a comedy factor but then again we will never know how the fights would go on the night

tyson wouldn't survive today. Emmanuel Stewart had too much influence on boxing. The super-heavies today at over 6'5 250 lbs would all jab, clinch and lean on Tyson. He would be spent after 5-6 rounds.

Tyson Fury would for sure use this style as he has in the past. You have to outclinch him and be the same size to beat him.

The reason most Americans say Mike Tyson would knock out everybody today is because they haven't had a world class Heavyweight to get behind since that time.

Wilder finally got exposed so they've got nothing. Lennox Lewis, the Klitchskos, Fury, Usyk and AJ have been running things in the last 20 years and have made American heavyweights irrelevant where as historically pre 90s, the division was dominated by American fighters.

well i have evidence of Usyk not handling pressure well.

Chisora fight was very competitive. Bredis with his speed and power also troubled usyk. that was a controversial decision. fight was prob a draw. Beterbiev beat him with pressure and knocking him down with body shots.

none of those guys are as good as prime Tyson at heavyweight.


there's simply no film of Mike Tyson being outboxed by a fleet footed boxer over a stretch.
