John Ryder lost to Jack Arnfield, stopped by Nick Blackwell, lost to rocky fielding, how is he even as good as someone like Gavril? Ryder is a can. His claim to fame is getting a robbery over a shot Jacobs and arguably beating Callum smith who is also garbage. Garvil would beat them both also. Hilarious how this can is being pumped up so much by Canelo fans.

Not stating that beating John Ryder is particularly outstanding for a HOF or a World Champ, but it's a solid win. He is a gritty gate keeper that give a tough bout to most.

Gavril was a solid contender top 10 contender during his time and David was literally 20 years old when he fought him with a similar record as a professional, but I think Ryder has more experience at the top level and should had won against Callum Smith who had a belt. Still though, he got a gift with Jacobs and doesn't have any other big wins. Ryder is not particularly better than let's say Andrade, Dirrell or Plant. I say that Roamer Alexis Angulo would be 50/50 against him due to his size advantage and punching power.

He is a journeyman not a gatekeeper. What do you mean he's not particularly better than Andrade, Plant or Dirrell? He is not even in their class. They would all beat Ryder easily.

Agree to disagree, I think Ryder would be a solid step up and a challenge for someone like Bektemir and Pacheco. He be someone to see if a fighter can push towards the upper echelon.

I think that Gavril was a solid contender but would struggle heavily against the top 5 while Ryder would at least put up a fight before losing.

Also I mean to phrase it like Ryder wouldn't fair well with former and current world champions like Andrade, Plant and Dirrell (during his prime).
