I dunno, it's been nearly 100 years and Marciano still can't get any credit.

Some dudes people just love and some people just hate. Jack Dempsey has a pretty **** resume and was a colorline champion. Gets way more credit than Marciano. Who did Dempsey beat? No one, lost when he fought a talent. Who did Marciano beat? Everyone, a few GOAT candidates included.

All the criticism you can give Rock you can give Jack. Him small, they didn't box for **** back then, there was no talent, prime, etc.

Because Dempsey lost to a LHW who never even bothered to be the LHW champion? Marciano beat two LHW goats.

    It really makes no sense.

On Parker, I have no problem giving him credit, it's just Wilder didn't do **** all and so how much bragging can you do for the guy? He sure did punch Wilder in the head while Wilder stood there ******ly looking ******. 100% and he did it well.

Crawford, I dunno why folks be smoking that crazy.

Joshua is Usyk's resume ... I dunno where no credit for that comes from.

Donaire was old and Monster doesn't need that brag anyway. I think prime for prime he still loses but pretending that was prime for prime is silly too.

Bivol ain't popular. You know that is all that is. Canelo's got groupies. Male groupies who says they straight.

    Back to Marciano:

Damaged more people than any other HW champion.

Defeated the lineal, former, and former-former.

    Defeated the LHW x2

Defeated the unter-champions of Europe as well.

    Fought during a fair era.

Did not need the help of a magazine to make his competition seem difficult

Knocked out more than half his competition, and more than half of those KOs lead to a retirement within 5 fights of Marciano.

But Jack Dempsey beat up Billy Miske after Miske had been whooped by a few black dudes who don't matter cause they black, so he gets credit, and Rocky's just lucky he lived at a time when Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore were bopping around, becoming champions. Only 2/3rds of the most common candidates for GOAT LHW is all.

One last one. Can you guys name any other fighter in any division whose age is within a year of resume name they beat but experience is less than half so it was an easy fight?

To reword, have you ever heard any matchup where the dudes are the same age, one has a career's more experience, but it is the experienced one who is at a deficit? Ever? So the lengths people go to, to discredit Rocky, are as uniquely his as the accolades he stacked ain't they? Only man to have injured 25 guys out of the game, ever, also the only man to lack experience, be the same age, and have that credit stripped from them too? Hmm.

Almost like nothing that dude ever did would get him the same credit lessers enjoy.

Crawford seems very Marciano to me, in that regard. Does something big, anyone else would have their careers made off it alone, people don't care.

Seems to me, oddly, if Marciano was black he'd get the credit he's earned and if Crawford was white he would too.
