Comments Thread For: Otto Wallin on Loss to Anthony Joshua: I Really Have No Excuses; He Was Just Better

Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin has taken his punishing loss to Anthony Joshua squarely on the chin. The New York-based southpaw refused to offer any alibis for his performance against the former heavyweight champion from London when they met last week in the main event of a card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Very strange thing for a professional fighter to say. Better do some more CAT scans.

It's refreshing to see a fighter not making excuses or blaming other people.

Taking the loss like a man

I'd like to see Joe Joyce Vs. Wallin as a comeback fight for both.

He boxes good but he fights bad is that what you're saying!!!?

Wallin must've had an off day cuz Joshua pummeled him and split him

But the fighter himself simply admitted that AJ was better, even compared with his fight vs Greedy Belly. It seems like you are one of those who will never give AJ his due credit. AJ beat him simply because he was better and not because Wallin had an off day. Simply and plain.

and another thing he never did complain or make his fight with Furry a issue ....... anybody else and that fight with that cut would have caused a stoppage but they let it go on and on although Wallin got a lot of fights due to that fight as it should be...........

I was expecting Wallin to be a tricky opponent but Joshua was just too sharp and his shots were damaging.

the truth is the truth and wallin just said is 100% correct…..now if wallin said he was injured , or his training camp never went well then you would be the first person to say it’s absolute russbih lol……wallin just admitted to something we all saw in those 5 rounds and it’s takes a very humble man to admit somehow was better than than you….he just said what we all know and was thinking
