That seems line-up-able in theory. Assuming Alvarez vs David B happens in May or Sept (obv Sept more likely) & I'm assuming Bivol vs Beterbiev happens next Riyadh season or before (assuming Beterbiev beats Smith in a few wks). Late 2024 or more likely early 2025 the winners fight.

Canelo as said before he would fight so and so and then do a full 360
Maybe Canelo played some Jedi reverse trick cause in all reality , he doesn’t want the fight
If Canelo is king of 168 , why not fight at his king weight ?
You get what im saying ?
Your wife might drop a line here stating your an azzhole
Should we take her word for it ?
Boxing is all over the place , social media , promoters , managers etc etc etc
When both sides say the same thing that isn’t hearsay.

If you’ve read closely , sounds like Canelo never had intentions of taking that fight
First and foremost , there was a rematch clause which Canelo could of activated and I’m pretty darn sure that , that contract would stipulate the conditions for the rematch
The fact that Canelo did not activate that clause is what lead to all these negotiations
So , in all reality Canelo is the one who made negotiators harder than they had to be
That is why a contract , especially for a rematch , the particulars are already stipulated
Plus , the financial part or the weight stipulations , were just excuses not to hold the fight
Show me another fight where the particulars are not already negotiated for a rematch
Chit like that don’t happen
But Canelo thought or thinks he rules the world and acted like a brat but it backfired hence why all the hate coming his way
The guy is a multi millionaire , a few more or less doesn’t change chit in his life , that is why he tried going through the back door and not activating the rematch clause and then throwing the blame on Bivol saying he wants the fight at 168
This went back and forth for a while and I can’t blame Bivol for attempting this to at least hold some kind of ground
This only after not activating the rematch clause hence changing the $$$$$ and the weight
Would you accept his stipulations ( same cash as the first fight , then forcing the fight at 175 So his belts or anything else for that matter , at risk )
You’ve been watching the sport for a while , show me another fight where the rematch contract gets changed just like that

He’s still saying the exact same thing that Bivol’s team said. So you can’t call it hearsay or ask ”how many sides to a story”…they both have the same damn story.
The fact is Bivol made $2 million plus 30% of the PPV sales for their first fight. Given how much he makes without Canelo and how Eddie Hearn had trouble even getting him a fight for almost a year he should have been happy to run it back under those same terms.
He’s lucky the Saudi moneybags came out of nowhere otherwise he wouldn’t have fought for all of 2023 most likely. And even then the Saudis paid him only $1.9 million.Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 12-31-2023, 01:06 AM.

My point is if you follow the timeline it don’t make sense
If Canelo wanted the fight he could of triggered the rematch clause
Done , nothing more to say , right ?
Why didn’t he trigger the rematch clause , the ball was in his hand so but nada
It just don’t add up , sorry you can argue ‘till the sky is purple and it still don’t make no fughin sense
Blame the other guy when you have the power to trigger the rematch ?
Cmon let’s be real , Canelo didn’t want the fight and did what he thought would put him in the clear
By the way , the first team to stipulate the fight is not happening was Bivol’s because the rematch clause wasn’t used
Call it a duck or wtv you’d like but read between the lines it’s simple
Like I asked before , can you show me another fight that there is a rematch clause and then the script gets flipped ?
No you can’t and you won’t because that is why there are contracts drawn up
Show me another fight where this has happened
