SRL had his management do similar back in the day I believe. The only difference between that & this Al thing is Al scaled it up beyond one boxer. Its the same thing tho.

That nitpicking aside lol after how good Andy looked in his last fight it'd probably be +EV to be in a position to get his present deal killed & have Eddie present a new offer or even go to the highest bidder as there might be renewed interest for him. It'd be great if he could get that lucky, but with boxing being boxing I'd bet against things being that clean.
Haha. This is how bad the other companies are compared to PBC. Eddie and Oscar were so giddy when Showtime went out of biz because they just knew that all of Al"s fighters were going to have to cross the street and sign with them because they had no network. But much to their chagrin not one fighter crossed over, instead they opted to stick with Al to get the Amazon deal and are now waiting for the second network deal to drop. Thanks Al Haymon! Hahahaha

Best case scenario in 2024: ESPN drops boxing and top rank follows Monster Inoye into an Amazon deal. Pbc and Tr are finally under the same banner. KingRy is released from Golden Girl and signs co promotional deal with Al. Devin finally realizes is only viable option for American stardom is on Prime. Dazn/MR is irrelevant and who cares what they do. Oscar gets dropped by Dazn and has noowhere to go. Oscar is then found slumped over in a dirty New Mexico hotel room with ******* and oxytocin, a lip filler starter kit, two 12 yr old run away immigrants and a room full of shytty spatulas.

Lol yea no doubt. The mere reality that Al is the major power broker in boxing dealing with the least legal situations with boxers should be telling more than all these theories ppl sitting on their couch all day have about how effed up what he is doing is. Bob gets sued every couple yrs. Oscar lost the biggest name in the game somehow with his sketchy deals & is currently in a fickle situation with the biggest name on his current roster.

I think the biggest problem some ppl have with Al is the disruption to the status quo he brought. He showed the lack of value promoters bring to a fighters career esp when you have a name. Absolutely zero ticket sellers let alone PPV level guys need long term promotional agreements.

Hell these days with social media a boxer even does most of the heavy lifting with making themselves bigger off of TV. Promoters just got the TV deals so you get seen & can usually get you better opps on the way up to let you show how good you are sooner.

When Ryan is gone from GBP he will lose a significant portion of his market share.. pay attention, Mexican fans were already booing him at the Duarte fight in Houston. Oscar is idolized and respected, Ryan is viewed as a bytch by Mexicans.

Most of his fanbase arent Mexicans, he literally cashed out his influencer niche before it was late and it paid.

Not in full as the article clearly states. He's filing a lawsuit against his "co-promoter" claiming, amongst other wrongdoings, that he's been stealing money from him and violating the Ali Act.

Basically. Like telling a woman who's being beaten by her husband twice a week that she shouldn't complain because her ex used to beat her everyday.
