Zhang got robbed against Hrgovic. This upcoming IBF title should be his, not Hrgovic's.

Zhang makes DDD kneel again, easily.

You are being a revisionist here. Joyce was top 5 before he fought Zhang.

The current heavyweight scene is quite chaotic. We've got Fury versus Usyk with a probable rematch, but beyond that, there's a mix of competent yet not exceptional fighters like AJ, Zhang, Hrgovic, Sanchez, Parker, Wilder, Anderson, Bakole, Ruiz, and DDD. They're all vying for a chance but struggle to make a definitive mark.

Anderson and Bakole might have a slight edge due to their prime condition and youth. With over a decade ahead of them, they possess both the technique and the resilience that comes from not being battle-worn. I think one of them, if not both, will be champ sooner or later.
It is not chaotic, finally he have some depth in division.

I'm not sure. Unless you consider Ngannou a valuable element in the equation.

As I said, I consider only Bakole and Anderson at a potential championship level in the next 5 years. Usyk and Fury will retire soon. Wilder is done, and so is Joyce. AJ will, again, be protected by Hearn until he retires.

The other guys are dull, opaque.

Not sure about Anderson, he just struggled badly against past prime Martin.

I like Sanchez as a contender more.

You completely missed the point of what i was saying there. Oh well...

Not sure what you want me to say. That Zhang is now one of the best in the division based on one result? That is what fan-boys do. He looks like a good fighter. But I'll wait until he is proven.

No, but win over Joyce is better than wins over Franklin, Helenius and Wallin. For sure.

Is that how it works? Call out everyone, everyone calls back and then what?

Or he could go and make the best fight available.

So your argument is that Zhang's loss to Hrgovic followed by 2 wins over the same guy in Joyce is better than Joshua's last 3 fights? I would say Joshua is the most proven fighter in the top-10. He fights the most top-10 guys. It seems arbitrary to judge him only on his comeback fights. And those are solid fighters he beat. None of them easy fights on paper.

Zhang has just beaten his first top-10 guy in Joyce.... Too early to be elevating him. Especially since he is 40 and might gas in the later rounds. Let's wait for his next fight - providing it's against a top guy.

Zhang drew against Jerry Forrest - ranked 84th in the world...
