Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol Returns To Drop, Dominate Lyndon Arthur For One-Sided Decision Win

The reigning Fighter of the Year finally made his way to the ring to resume his winning ways. Dmitry Bivol will most certainly not land in the running to repeat that honor but managed to turn away the challenge of Lyndon Arthur to defend his WBA light heavyweight title and capture Arthur's IBO strap. Bivol floored Arthur late in the eleventh round en route to a shutout victory (120-107 on all three scorecards) Saturday evening at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

bivols lack of power is going to be a problem against a heavy punching pressure machine like beterbiev. its strange cause i remember bivols one punch brutal knockouts against broadhurst and sullivan barrera. he could out box beterbiev but he will keep coming and will get stronger as the rounds go on

Bivol did not look great here. Arthur shouldn't have even been in the ring with him.

Perfect English muffin to shake off ring rust against. But like a bad DJ, it killed the momentum of the card

You mean that the only showcase of Boxing 101, skills, and master Ring I.Q. killed the momentum of a Boxing card ... Ah, ok... 10-4 ...

Honestly, this fight was a mediocre one. Bivol fighting a scary punching bag and barely could drop him and instead was caught near the liver area. I don't know how this guy defeated Canelo. Probably because the weight. He has no power at all...Arthur or Smith will demolish him. Bivol is overhyped. He is not a boxing star. Sorry but it's the reality.
