  • Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol On David Benavidez: "He Could Fight At 175 And Make Problems"

The respect David Benavidez has earned doesn't exist in just the super middleweight division. Whenever the current WBC 168-pound interim titlist enters the ring, fans, and fighters across multiple divisions flock to their television sets. Dmitry Bivol, unsurprisingly, does the same.

That's better than fighting Morrel for peanuts at 168. Between Canelo, who won't fight, and Morrel, who is a light heavy himself. Benny is better off fighting Bivol in a semi-mega fight, depending on the card.

Benavidez has managed to put himself in great position going forward. He is in a place where he wants Canelo, but does not need him. That is all anyone in boxing can hope for- give himself choices. And Benavidez has choices. Who would have thought that a couple years ago?

Yes David Benavidez can compete at 175 weight division, and possibly win a title to boot!

Bivol, always praising and having something good to say about other fighters. Really an atypical character.

He could fight all the way up to Bridgerweight if he wanted to. He is the definition of a weight bully. Even loss a belt on the scales
