  • Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn Says Conor Benn's Next Fight, in February, Will Take Place Outside of England

Embattled welterweight Conor Benn may have to ply his trade away from his native England for the second time in a row. According to Benn's promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, the Es*** native will be fighting on Feb. 3, regardless of the fact that the fight that was planned for that date involving Chris Eubank Jr. fell through last week.

Yeah I’m sure it’s nothing to do with him failing multiple drug tests and not cooperating with the BBBofC.

He isn’t licensed to fight in England, right?

He’s not licensed by the BBBofC but could use an alternate sanctioning body. Like Haye and Chisora did back in 2012.

I wonder how much of a retainer Benn is on with Hearn? He was obviously hoping to recoup his losses with a Eubank bonanza. The time to cut him loose was immediately after the failed drug test. Because he didn't, Hearn has built himself up into a tower he can't climb down from now. Silly man.

He isn’t licensed by the BBBoC so, no, his next fight won’t be in the UK. Shamima Begum won’t be celebrating her next birthday in the UK either!

Benn shouldn't be fighting anywhere , it's plain , he's got to go before the BBBOC under their strict liability rule...ie. prove you are innocent and explain why illegal drugs were found inside of you twice. It's already cost him and his daft promoter millions and brought his career to a standstill ...crazy, and Hearn still wants to feed him another lame duck because there's only five and half weeks to go ....Pathetic , and imagine IF Benn actually turned out to be innocent. What a guy Hearn is...oh , I remember , 'Hearn said he's not giving him any advice ....better still hey ...What a mess!

Yes, Conor Benn shouldn’t fight again until he settles things with the BBBoC.
