            Wilder was half leaping his whole body in sometimes, without throwing his arm properly.

            He was almost leaving his arm behind.

                This was strategy. Parker effectively evaded and smothered the right hand, which nobody else tried to do except for Fury. Also, Wilder was most effective as a windmiller.

                  You can't use your power as a crutch forever. Fury wasn't the only heavyweight capable of beating Wilder, he just so happened to be the first.
