Comments Thread For: WBC Says Joshua-Wilder Winner Would Emerge As Mandatory For Title

Former heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will fight in separate matchups Saturday night in Saudi Arabia. If Joshua beats Otto Wallin and Wilder bests Joseph Parker, all signs point to Joshua and Wilder squaring off March 9 for a long-anticipated bout.

Think the rematches should be scrapped (thats if wilder aj even happens the first time)

After Fury/Usyk and AJ/Wilder there should be no rematches. Regardless who wins just make Fury vs AJ and Usyk vs Wilder. That way we'll have got to see all 4 having fought each other, that is what the era needs more than rematches

WBC already looking to stick their hands in the pockets of a fight that ain't even for sure yet. Wonder what they'll say if one or both lose this weekend.

In theory that could end up making AJ vs Deontay for a vacant belt as Fury vs Usyk have a 2way rematch clause so the winner won't be able to fight the AJ vs Wallin winner.

From all accounts the Fury vs Usyk money is ****** good. Neither of those two are gonna opt out of the rematch.

Doesnt seem like Bonesaw and the 2 Turkis are keen on paying any of the alphabet orgs or promoters or even making a profit now or in the future.

They got billions to piss away on frivolous sporting events and no need to match fix as they would rather gamble on legit outcomes of above the board fights.

They won the sportswashing debate so theres no need to get down and dirty with dodgy orgs and posturing pimps.

The fighters decide if they want to take the money or chase a belt. Opetaia made his call and so has Joshua.

                  Long live the fighters!

LOL. I like the energy here & you aren't wrong.

There is the debate that this is a greater evil vs a lesser evil & the belt groups are for once the lesser evil, but everyone wants the money so it is what it is til this sportswashing sh^t goes sideways....if it goes sideways cuz I suspect with all this money it'll be hard to sink this ship even if they chop up Mannix & Mora into lil pieces.
