see haters will tell you Bivol won "easily" and that Floyd won "12-0 with one hand and one eye shut" the narrative changes every year next it will be be Floyd won 12-0 with some 10-8 rds sprinkled around.

It's Hate and envy but the truth is both Bivol and Floyd went on record saying "it wasn't easy" FACTS!!! Bivol knows it wasn't easy and was trying to maximize his earnings incase canelo came out in beast mode.

That's why he wanted the fight at 168, so he could take Canelo's belts and prove it wasn't because he's a bigger man.

Back when people were saying fighting at 168 was Canelo's idea, I was saying there's no way Canelo would risk fighting Bivol at 168, because he'd never risk losing everything to a guy who out skilled him already.

He even offered a catchweight to Canelo and got no response. Asked for a bigger cut because he won the fight and got turned down cold. Bivol won the first fight but Canelo still thinks he gets to dictate the exact same terms? That's a flat out duck. He didn't do everything to make the fight. He quite literally did nothing. Was a smart duck IMO though. He'd have to pay the judges really well to have a chance, and if he lost anyways, he'd lose all his belts and his leverage to be cash cow. I think losing to Bivol at 168 too would be catastrophic for him. He's in a tough spot here, caught between Bivol/Beterbiev at 175 and the Davids at 168, and he can't run back down to 160 because it's pretty dead. Next year will reveal if he's still "daring to be great." If he fights that hypejob Munguía, for me that's proof positive he's on the slide and cashing out while ducking the dangerous fights.

I was expecting this response so let me adjust the names. Why didn’t Canelo run it back with Cotto or Lara or Trout? All were close fights and in fact many believe Canelo got a gift against Lara. I have always been a fan of ginger and see him as an ATG. So you are just making wild assumptions.
The one thing we agree on is Canelo has to fight Benavidez but I don’t think he wants that fight. I haven’t called Canelo a DUCKER but we are almost getting there. That fight has to happen next year or it’s a duck on Canelo’s part.
I still think he is an ATG even if he ducks Benavidez so I can separate topics.

I think most people are inferring to Canelo fighting Benavidez instead of a guy he already lost to. Perhaps Canelo believes he has a much better shot at beating Bivol than Benavidez which does make sense.
