Just read an article on another site where they interviewed Jose Sr, apparently this took place on the 17th. This is what Sr. said.

“I think David Morrell’s a great fighter but at the end of the day I think they should put him to fight fighters that are known that could take him into deep waters and see what he does. I think he should fight a Caleb Plant, he should fight a Anthony Dirrell, or maybe even ‘Boo Boo’ Andrade, and that’s the only way he’s going to get qualified to see if — we’ll fight him right now. We’ll fight him right now; I think David (Benavidez) can stop him.”

“He’s been saying that he wants David Benavidez and at the end of the day I would love to fight him. His trainer said he wasn’t ready, his management said he’s not ready. So I believe he wants that fight, I don’t think he’s scared of David, but if his team don’t think he’s ready there’s nothing I can do.

“I’ve been asking for it, I’ve been talking to their team and to his trainer. You know, we want to fight him, I think David can stop him in like eight, nine rounds. But I also believe (Morrell) is going to get better. He’s a really good fighter and he is getting better and better and better. But I want to fight him now because I believe David can stop him.”

The only fear here is from Morel not taking on serious challenges before he gets the big dogs, go earn it!
Lol, mbilli didn't reach $h1t, stop spreading rumors. He already beat the 1&2 WBA contenders which by the way rankings are crooked, I just threw it out there because you mentioned. And about fear, you know they're a few types of fear.

What's with all these posters and their bs? "Get in line, fight someone good" wtf is up with these Roadblocks? Just make the fight next. What's there for bumavidez besides sitting on his hands begging for the carnela fight?

I think that was last year.

I certainly would not mind seeing Benavidez face off with Morrell assuming he does not get the Canelo fight next. That's a better option and more ballsy one than fighting Big Charlo or Berlanga or Jaime. It'll be a great name on the resume in hindsight one day the way Canelo looks on Mayweather record. Good name at the time but damn does it age well as Morrell would certainly bounce back and become a long term champion in his own right one day.

168 has 3 mandatory fighters for Canelo...if the division is pretty weak as you say how bout Canelo get rid of Morrel, then Benavidez after that...then Canelo can clean out 168 a second time by wacking the 3 mandatories that remained after Ryder. No recently undisputed champion has demonstrated, and we can start with Caneo, the ability, the interest, the desire or the heart to cycle through a second round of mandatories in their weight class. Or how bout Canelo drop the 168 belts, (don't laugh ya'll), and go up and clean out 175...

People are unsure of Morrell. There are 4 undefeated fighters in the Top 10 and two are ****ers. Let him fight two of them. See if he has the Cuban and East Euro pedigree. This isn't hard. Plant can't punch and Andrade is old now and needs a 22' ring at 160. I have no clue why people are even talking about Dirrell and Uzcategui. The top 10 is loaded with undefeated fighters for Morrell.
