It was an unnecessary novelty fight between two second rate boxers who have no chance of a sustained, legitimate reign at any weight class. Eubank fighting for an IBO bauble is about his level. As for Benn, if Hearn thought he was a serious 147 contender he'd match him accordingly. He knows he's not, hence this attempt to cash him out before he loses his value. -
Since it's not for a title I had no problem with it – two Euro level fighters is still many, many levels above YouTube fights. We love a domestic dust up in the UK, and this would've been an intriguing fight. It is actually a bit of a shame we don't get to see one of them tuned up.Comment

He sounds like a girl crying because a guy dumped her. Hearn publicly obsessed over this fight for more than a year, damaged his reputation with anybody who takes drug testing seriously, and it was all for nothing because he couldn't even get a deal done. Now he wants sympathy?Comment
