Since it's not for a title I had no problem with it – two Euro level fighters is still many, many levels above YouTube fights. We love a domestic dust up in the UK, and this would've been an intriguing fight. It is actually a bit of a shame we don't get to see one of them tuned up.

It was an unnecessary novelty fight between two second rate boxers who have no chance of a sustained, legitimate reign at any weight class. Eubank fighting for an IBO bauble is about his level. As for Benn, if Hearn thought he was a serious 147 contender he'd match him accordingly. He knows he's not, hence this attempt to cash him out before he loses his value.

Everything you said apart from the bolded is true. The fight is necessary for both fighters, but obviously not for you and quite a few other posters here.
But other posters here would make all fighters not in the Ring top ten rankings just give up and retire as they aren't elite.

Any promoter's job is to get his charges the most money possible and by extension themselves as well. This is what annoys Hearn - he found a way of doing that and Eubank, if he was the one who nixed it, couldn't see it - he thinks he can make more money elsewhere - he did throw his hat in the ring for a Canelo fight - that shows his level of delusion.

the whole fight event gives off a very bad vibe, eubanks do have huge egos but im not sure even they want to be involved with this sordid mess, its next level low stuff, perfect for eggie and eddie actually, like pigs in crap the two of them
