So how was JMM v. Floyd relevant? And don't tell me because he drew in 1 million PPV.

That's right, because for boxing it wasn't relevant.
How can you argue that 1 million PPV buys isnt relevant? That's relevant on a scale that's even bigger than boxing. Not to mention he fought the #2 ranked P4P fighter in the world on his first fight after a 2 year hiatus.

You're an idiot if you honestly believe he leaves his whole career in their hands. They're basicly his advisers. Public figures say things to dance around certain questions in the media from time to time. You should know that by now.

You're telling me that when Floyd announced the fight hours before the Hatton/Pac fight that you weren't at the slightest dumbfounded?

When I say relevant to boxing I simply mean...Do people actually anticipate it? Yea it did million buys, but cmon are you serious the outcome of that fight was EXACTLY how it was predicted.

You know what fine, I'll give you that much. Cus did say "It's just about puttin' ass in them seats". So even if the fight is pointless or holds no real competitiveness or anything as long as does the numbers it doesn't really matter does it? Because it's all about $$ and not taking risks or push yourself past haters or non believers or hell even securing legacy. That's all 2nd priority. $$ comes first.

You're getting ahead of yourself. The bottom line is it was his first fight after a 2 year hiatus. He would've been ****** to jump in there against a Pacquiao or a SSM without shaking off the cob webs first. If it was any other fighter everyone would've given him a pass and at least respected him for dominating one of the best fighters in the world on his first fight after a 2 year lay-off. But because it's Mayweather who's level better then anyone else in the sport they're gonna blow it out of proportion and find a reason to hate on him for it.

Now that he's had a tune-up fight, i expect him to start taking out the top fighters in his division. Take my word for it, in a years time after he destroys Pac and Shane Mosley (assuming he doesnt have a vacation planned) this conversation we're having will be irrelevant.

That video was made in mid july after the vargas fight with floyd telling shane he wanted him on 3 rd nov that SAME year, ie a few months. Mosley says its too early for him and for floyd to fight margo and he will fight the winner next year. So thanks for proving your self wrong!!! By the way mosley had also fought vargas earlier that year too and if you look at mosleys record he never fights more than twice in a year. Floyd knew this and thats why he looked for mosley and by only giving him 3 months to prepare for the fight and drop from 154 to 147 he KNEW the fight would not be made LOL, floyd probably planned it all LOL
Good point i think, dropping from 154 to 147 with only a few months to prepare for the best in floyd is not easy and i wouldnt blame mosley if that is the way it was to work out for him

So how come he hasn't fought any of the top welterweights and when was the last time he fought a top welterweight. It's no talk, i'm stating facts. He had all the chances and time to fight Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, or P. Williams before he retired. Instead he fought Hatton and DLH. As i have stated before, it is quite pathetic that Manny who was a lightweight not too long ago is fighting Cotto first who is one of the top Welterweights, even before Floyd, that is if Floyd will actually ever fight Cotto or any of the top WW. To be honest though, i do tend to bash Floyd quite a bit, even though i am a fan of his boxing talents, i am not a fan of his persona and attitude. Whether it is all for show or not, it's annoying. Nothing can be worst than a ****y ass *****.

One more thing, in regards to Floyd dominating the #3 P4P, he didn't dominate him in his weight division. He didn't even bother meeting him halfway on a catch weight for 144lbs, and just simply neglected the agreement. Wow, Floyd is awesome.

It just frustrates me that a person which such God-given talent doesn't put it to more use. We all know he's the most gifted boxer in the ring right now, but until we see him in a real fire fight he won't ever get the respect he may or may not want.

But the same cant be said about Pacquiao? Thats a double standard isnt it. You would be able to see that if mayweathers balls werent bouncing off your eyes.
