Floyd did it and then showed Tank how to do it, Garcia is doing it, Fury made a short career and millions doing it. The sanctioning bodies are up for sale and everyone in boxing from the managers to the promoters and networks are only concerned with extending their heap o cash. Over sized bullies slide at the scales, judges go on from a bad card to catastrophic card with impunity, ring size is up for debate, re-hydration clauses and drug testing for cheats and penalties for cheating are all optional, subjective and based upon the money that can be made. There is no code, no honor or a principled man beyond the gym, everything outside of the gym is reality TV.

The last pure, unadulterated best vs best...was Spence/Crawford and Inoue/?.

Canelo may fight Mungia or Charlo, or both and retire. The real question isn't why..... but in 2023 why not?

I’d love to see Benavidez vs Morrell but find it funny how some want them to fight to “earn” a canelo fight while canelo can fight a junior middleweight who hadn’t fought in over a year, or limited face first fighters like a Ryder or Munguia who is apparently the front runner despite Canelo’s “ I don’t want to fight Mexicans” comment. How about Canelo do what the greats are supposed to do and actually fight the biggest threats in your division instead of constantly trying to avoid risk. He was all about it when the division consisted of unimpressive Brits and Plant. Since then his selection of opponents in the weight class have been an old mw, a jmw and a mediocre at best Ryder.

I like this post. Someone who sees Canelo as I do.

I like how everyone has all their panties wet over Morel when his competition has been C level. I said it once and I'll say it again, I've seen this in the past, people getting all excited over a fighters who is beating the bottom of the barrel type of opposition, (cough, cough Andrade, cough, cough, Charlo) and then claiming they're being avoided, it's nothing new in boxing. Morel gets wiped out by both Canelo Benavides, Benavides has earned his shot, Morel needs to work, here's an idea How about Morel fights Charlo and wins, then maybe you can seriously consider him for something bigger....

Canelo doesn’t really wipe out anybody, so I can’t see that happening. Morrell is styslisticslly a more difficult fight for Benavidez then Plant was
