Context? The loss was against the champion and it was a split decision.

No. But on the other 0-1 fighters are normally rookies. Context is important. N'gannou lost a split ddecision to the consensus best HW in the world, floored him an was unscathed at end of the fight. Not your typical 0-1 fighter

i dont think its wrong, compare his performance against fury to someone like dillain whyte.. and at least ngannou looked like he spent the build up in the gym instead of mcdonalds which isnt the case for most the fighters in that division

This is BS and shouldnt happen. I know the heavyweight division is weak but wtf! Francis has only had 1 fight that he lost!

So if Francis is so sure he should have won and based on Sulaiman's word, then Ngannou can easily try fighting some top 10-20 (Zhang, Joyce, Hrgovic, Bakole, Anderson, Makhmudov) while waiting for a potential Fury rematch, right? He will most probably win, according to him and some blinded Fury haters, which will send him in WBC's top 5 maybe and world's top 10-20, right?

If he’s just waiting for Fury the ranking is basically pointless but i guess they have to rank him bc it can’t be a title fight unless he’s a top 15 guy . And that’s assuming he defeats Usyk which I’m also starting to doubt .

People that are upset him being ranked are late to the game , Fury fighting Chisora as title defense was giving a pass on here and looked at as a stay busy fight which was nonsense bc he tried fighting Charr as well before Joshua . Both Chisora and Whyte didn’t even have a heart beat when they fought Fury , at least Ngannou put some effort into it and we saw what happened again besides the Wallin fight .

Anyone who actually tries to win should get a fight with him bc all I see are guys going half assed in there all the time besides Wilder , Wallin and Ngannou. Not even Klitchko was there mentally and why that went down as one of the worst title fight at heavyweight of all time .

The 3 guys that actually wanted to win most recently with Fury have giving him a hard time , even Chisora years ago and that McDermott guy also Cunningham if we go back . Ngannou earned the ranking ,shouldn’t you guys be questioning some of the other rankings with guys who actually don’t fight anyone ? In reality boxing rankings don’t ever or rarely make sense I’d rather see Ngannou then Ortiz who occupied a top 5 position fir over half a decade fir no reason at all . Lol
