Comments Thread For: President of French Boxing League Resigns After Controversial Comments on Tony Yoka, Judges

Robin Dolpierre, president of the France-based National League for Professional Boxing and former referee under the World Boxing Council, has resigned from his post after controversially asserting that French heavyweight Tony Yoka should have been awarded a decision against Belgium's Ryad Merhy in their 10-round bout that took place last Saturday in Paris based on the fact that Yoka was the A side.

Boxing proves, day after day, that it's simply a more dangerous version of the WWE.

This sport is corrupt, beyond repair.

In England, in a similar fight, the local boxer would have won.
Depends on the fighters, really. AJ isn't nearly as protected these days.

they protect the money men they look out of the one who is going to bring in the cash in boxing It has got nothing to do with anything but money unless someone gets in there n takes it and that is not easy to get the match up you want without paying a price (owing favors) to a promo man...........boxing answer's to boxing and nothing and no one else not even the fans only sport that treats its fans worst then there enemies

Yoka just hasn't translated well to pros. He just gets outworked in these fights and he doesn't have anything really special about him. Showed to be a European level at best and at 31 years old is he really gonna change that much going forward.

So the president of boxing in France thought Tony Yoka should have got the decision because he was the home fighter? I’d say he’d better step down…
