That’s right, get the reputation of being a liar. The Haneys said they’re KO’ing Prograis, they promised it. They didn’t go for it, and according to Haney in this article, it was out of fear of getting hit with something big.

So you are holding him to it..... Didn’t Prograis say he was going to hurt Haney bad, should he be vilified for his words? I do recall the Dad stating if Prograis steps to them he will get knocked out and after the 3rd round Prograis was tamed. I get it you don’t like the Haney’s but Haney is not the first boxer to claim he will get a knockout and doesn’t so let’s stop this driven agendaComment

Haney fought just superbly. He fought a very disciplined fight.
He was both locked in and focused. Not once did he ever deviate from the game plan.
I am pretty sure he could of turned it up more against Prograis but then he would have been fighting Regis’ fight.
The “Rougarou’s” only chance was to turn the fight into a slugfest or a firefight.Comment

Great fight by Haney! He displayed a lot of wisdom by not chasing Prograis to get the knockout because everyone knows that a fighter is at his most dangerous when he appears vulnerable and hurt.Comment

In all fairness he nearly got the KO anyway , but holding back is rubbish , it unfortunately gets the feel of insecurity about himself .You'd never hear Hagler , Leonard , Duran or Hearns talk like that. I like his silky skills but let's see him with the top boys like Crawford , because he and his mouthy dad say that's where he is. So put your money where your mouth is Bill and lets see the whole truth.
Haney is not a slugger. He is a pure boxer. He stuck to his game plan and utilize his advantages over Prograis.
