  • Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley: "A Guy Like Matias Would Murder Ryan Garcia"

Tim Bradley wasn't surprised when Ryan Garcia came up short in his showdown against Gervonta Davis earlier this year. The Hall of Fame former fighter always believed Garcia was good but great? He wasn't quite sold.

Well at least tell us something that we don’t already know Tim. Ryan is soft as shit!

It’s hard to disagree…but then again Bradley proclaimed Teofimo Lopez was ‘dog food’ to the other 140 lbs champions, and then we all saw what happened to the top dog at the time. Bradley sure enjoys his hyperbole.

                Author research much?

"Unsurprisingly, his 2023 has accentuated just how deadly he can be. To kick off his year, Matias (20-1, 20 KOs) got some get back against Jeremias Nicolas Ponce, stopping the only man who initially beat him via fifth-round stoppage. More recently, Matias kept things going by stopping Shohjahon Ergashev just a few weeks ago."

Ponce was not the man who beat Matias, it was Petros Ananyan. He got his revenge in 2022. A quick BOXREC lookup would have removed that entire paragraph just about.

AND to chime in on the topic, I also think Ryan would get beat TFU against Matias. Ryan would look good in first couple rounds like Ergashev did until Matias continues to walk him down. Then it would be a brutal and painful beat down that would change Ryan for life. I don't think he would ever be the same fighter after that.

Gary Antuanne, please MAN UP! I think Matias vs. Russell will tell me just how good "Browny" is! Gary is 27 years old, fully in his prime, 17 wins, 17 KOs! He's just an afterthought because of his inactivity! If he wants the BIG fights against Tank, Devin, Teofimo, or Ryan, the road goes through Matias! The reward is worth the risk! PBC, Make It Happen!
