Benavidez for me really is a borderline cruiser weight fighter naturally. Therefore he is operating in the same way that Toney Bellew was when he was at 175 pounds.

Note: I believe that potentially, it is only a matter of time before ? Benavidez will no longer be able to continue to weight drain himself and perform at 168 pounds, and that will be completely his own fault 'Not Canelo Alvarez's'.

Stylistically I don't think it is a bad fight for Alvarez, not in the way people seem to perceive it as 'Benavdiez defense is not great, his skill level is not elite and he is quite static' Just being super aggressive and being able to put your punches together, stylistically has never been a style of fighting which has been the greatest challenge for Alvarez.

Elite level: Movement, Speed, Distance control, Long range game, Endurance 'Those have been the attribute's in a fighter, which have really been the greatest challenge to overcome for Alvarez' Benevidez has not really shown thus-far in his career, a high enough performance level in all of those area's.

The fight will be a great event, and a competitive fight 'Benavidez has the attributes to make the fight competitive, but not to win rounds consistently or nullify Alvarez'.

When Bernard Hopkins signed to fight Kelly Pavlik, to the general public 'The match up looked like a monumentally daunting challenge for Hopkins to win'.

But anyone who has watched Hopkins entire career, and knew what type of fighter he was 'Could see that stylistically, Pavlik was potentially in a lot of trouble'.

I see this same dynamic in the Benavidez vs Alvarez match up 'Long as Alvarez is in solid condition, I would not be surprised if he does not drop a single round to Benavidez' etc.

Ok, that’s cool, then why doesn’t he just fight him then if it’s such an easy fight for him and he wouldn’t lose a round. It’s the biggest fight for him x10, by far, no other fight even comes close. I remember him saying he don’t wanna fight benavidez cause he don’t wanna fight Mexicans, yet he’s been talking with Munguias team to make a fight with him.

There’s a reason he don’t wanna fight him, and has been avoiding him, sorry I mean DUCKING him

It’s time for the passing of the torch but Canelo doesn’t want to get embarrassed and get destroyed by Benavidez.

Canelo is a good fighter but his career has always been carefully planned to avoid getting embarrassed. He doesn’t want to get stopped that’s it

The reasons as to why Alvarez has not fought him as of yet? People can only speculate 'Which is what you are doing'.

Me personally, I highly doubt Alvarez is avoiding Benavidez 'There will come and time when, he decides to fight him on his terms'.

That is historically how some Champions behave at the stage of Alvarez's career 'Alvarez is not chasing anyone, or really trying to prove his greatness. Alvarez is already a proven great fighter'.

Note: If Benavidez really wants the fight vs Alvarez, if he is such a big monster fighter 'He should just confront Alvarez in person'.

I don't really think Benavidez has pressured Alvarez enough, he has from what I can see? Just given a few interviews here and there, and wow 'Made a few social media posts I would imagine' etc.

some fighters just dont want to fight other fighters. i dont know why fans find this hard to believe? especially coming from canelo who has literally done the same exact thing multiple times in his career. im the middleweight champ but i cant figth ggg cause im not a real middleweight! years and years go by...as canelo literally invents his own division between 154 and 160 to pretend like hes too small...oops canelo fights at super middle agains chavez because chavez sucks...hey wait you said you werent a real middleweight...then he tried teh same thing with beterbiev. im not a real light heavyweight after fighting kovalev, goes back down to safety at 168 but then comes back up for bivol who isnt a puncher/killer. obviously that backfired but its the same song and dance routine. benavidez has been ranked #1 at 168 since the end of 2019. canelo has been at 168 full time for 4 years now and hasnt fought him. come on he doesnt want that fight. he preferred to fight bivol at 175 instead of benavidez. bivol is a better boxer but benavidez is just scarier. canelo knows he can be knocked out and humiliated against benavidez. same as ggg/beterbiev. thats not a good feelign for a supreme narcissist but their reluctance to take these type of fights shows that deep down they know they arent the king and its all a mirage.

You just said a whole pile of nothing. You can't keep denying that is avoiding Benavidez when literally is text book avoiding him by fighting far less qualified guys. He IS avoiding him, and there is only one reason why. He fears him. Canelos last 3 fights have been lay ups, and looks like the may fight will also be one. 4 in a row and likely 3 of them have never even fought at 168 but fan boys like you keep denying he is avoiding him. lol.

Just stating facts. If the fight happens it will be on his terms and his timing. The WBC isn’t forcing Canelo to fight anyone. Last time they tried it he told them to F off and they came running back begging for those Xanelo sanctioning fee’s.

This is what I think so too. The fight is relatively easy to make as they are both under the PBC Banner and Canelo is contracted to two fights left with Al Haymon.

It's late September or a dodge imo.
