Bill Haney: Mayweather s**t is Over, Floyd Never Did What Devin Just Did

Devin is now better than Floyd and Crawford according to Bill Haney.

It’s getting out of control. Lost to Loma, beat Regis, now he’s TBE.

Floyd had more power than Haney.

You dont get to say that very often with floyd, but with haney's feather fisted ass....

Floyd was pretty badass at super lightweight and lightweight. He was a KO machine. He had a vicious body shot too.

      but yea, I agree.

Floyd had speed, leverage and then he has the element of surprise and that’s why he caught guys, Devin just doesn’t hit hard enough.

Bill is overdosed on endorphins, he will be delirious by the end of the night.

              I agree.

Let's just compare for a moment each fighters career to 25 years age.
              • Floyd won the bronze medal in the 1996 Olympics.
              • Won his first professional bout that same year
              • Within two years of turning pro, in 1998 he won his first world title at featherweight by KOing then #1 ranked Genaro Hernández.
              • HIs first title defense was against Angel Manfredy, whom he KO'd
              • Went on to defend his title five times and made one fight at lightweight against Emanuel Augustus with no titles on the line.
              • At the age of 23, he fought Deigo Corrales who was his age, and successfully took the IBF title from him to unify.
              • Had three successful title defenses after that.
              • Mayweather then moved up and fought Castillo, which was a highly contested fight, where the majority of the public believed he lost
              • Mayweather rematched Castillo and beat him definitively to remove all doubt that he is the best.
              Devin Haney
              • Never went to the Olympics or qualified, instead turning pro in Mexico at 16
              • Fought unknown fighters in Tijuana.
              • At the age of 21 because elevated to lightweight WBC champion after the WBC stripped Lomachenko after being granted franchise champion status. (This means Devin became a champion without fighting anyone.)
              • He made four successful title defenses
              • Fought George Kambosos to unify and become the undisputed lightweight champion.
              • Defended his title against Kambosos.
              • Fought Lomachenko in a highly contested fight, where much like Floyd vs Castillo, the majority of the public believed he lost.
              • Turned down the rematch with Top Rank and signed with the DAZN to fight Regis Prograis, whom he definitively beat to become the WBC super lightweight champion.

So how does this compare to Floyd? It seems that Floyd was a two division champ before Devin, and Floyd always made sure that everyone knew he was the best by avenging the the fights people though he lost. Floyd fought for his belts, and he fought higher caliber opponents (for the most part) than Devin.

Bill is as high as a kite; Devin could beat anyone in history. Just ask him.

Please. The fighters today in the lower weight classes compare nothing to Pretty Boy Floyd.

You saw Haney put on a clinic against Regris? A 140 Mayweather would've Arturo Gatti'd in the same particular fashion against Regris.

Haney is a quality fighter but no, just no.

                    Or at least not yet.
