  • OMG! Never thought Robeisy will lose to this guy!

It's his fault though. He is a crowd pleaser. If he had chosen to just box and move and tap to his amateur pedigree skills he would have won but he chose to fire fight and fought to a style that suit Rafael.

    Anyway Congratulations Rafael Espinoza

        Robeisy is an overrated fighters.

        I always said that.

The guy don't know how yo throw combinations, Bad stamina, his defense is not that great.

He has a great left big hand, but he is not what Bob say.

              • Jake Donovan, the writer of the article, needs to leave politics aside. He sounds dumb when he says that Robeisy " found freedom ". What is his definition of freedom? Earning more in the US than in Cuba? In thatr case, all immigrants obtain freedom because they left their countries for the US. Anyway, Espinoza clearly won and put a beat down to that defector ( yes, politics).

That's why I never start hyping these gold medal amateurs. A 3 round tip tap game is extremely different to a 12 round fight. Plenty of good Cubans have found that out.

Andy Cruz is clearly talented but i will reserve my judgement until he faces real resistance over a long duration.

I dont care how many olympic medals you won in a game of tag, its not the same as fighting a 6'1 featherweight with good coordination, ability, toughness and power.

                  • Good thing that wasn't El Venado Lopez. Robeisy would have gotten knocked out. I told people Espinoza would be problems. Monster will have to fight El Venado when he moves up to 126.

                    • Ramirez seriously underestimated Espinoza, it was obvious he thought he'd get the KO. Robeisy is seriously skilled and he was headhunting all night. Bradley gets on my nerves alot of the time but he nailed it tonight. He said from round 5, Ramirez has to go to the body. But Ramirez just had to keep showing Espinoza how good his chin was. Had he gone to the body and fought intelligently, it was obvious that the KO was there. He fought like a moron.

I generally can't stand guys with freakish height and reach advantage. All that said, Espinoza was done after that 5th round knockdown. The heart he showed to get up and keep getting hurt but never stop coming forward, classic Mexican toughness and crazy to watch. Ramirez hurt him more, but Espinoza deserved it on aggressiveness and activity. The guy has no quit in him. Im a fan.

                      Interested to see the rematch.
