I liked Regis back when I first saw him on ShoBox ( I think against Amos Cowart). I was pulling for him in this fight but I was expecting a Haney UD.

Regis is a tough, rugged ****er but his defense has always been suspect and he seems to struggle to get his offense going against more technical or elusive opponents.

Add to that the fact Regis has some mileage and Haney is the far fresher, younger fighter (and bigger)....it just seemed like a bad matchup for Rougarou.

Averaging 3 punch connects a round?

Good performance by, Haney. He did great, but I feel like my recent performance was much better than his.

Haney is now become my favorite fighter out of the young guns below 154. Him and Inoue seem to be the only ones taking on proper competition and daring to be great. Props to him, his camp, and a Regis for giving us a chance to boxing brilliance.

I'm not a big fan of Haney's style but he gets it done, and his resume at 25 shyts all over any of the other pretend (fabricated) faces of boxing at 135/40, more specifically, Stank and Cryan. From real fans, the man deserves respect. Casuals can fcuk off.

After all that trash talk, at least Prograis had the decency to eat crow like a man and give Haney props.

I also listened to post-fight comments from Devin's pops. I'm warming up to this guy.

Haney really put it on Prograis, who was trying to intimidate Haney all through the build up of the fight.
He kept on insisting that he was going to knockout the home schooled Haney, because Haney wasn't about that life ( the rugged street Life).
Then he get's himself schooled, by the same home schooled Haney who he was bull****ting about that he was going to knockout, now ain't that a blip?

Yes he did! He deserves a round of applause for that, and a lot of respect.
Now we can finally get the Matias vs Prograis fight, if Matias can't get any of the other champions to fight him next.

Tough times for boxing fans. You gotta accept disrespect. At least with HBO and Showtime you didn't have to be subscribed to their channel to buy a PPV. It's much worse now. At least if you're a paying subscriber. If you stream like we all do, it doesn't matter.
