I agree. The PBC has the best and deepest stable of fighters at both the 147 and 154 lbs. Divisions. Also, let's not leave out the 168 lbs. Either.Originally posted by Eff Pandas View Post
He's in a position now, with a belt, so he doesn't have to, but it seems like it'd be the preferred move to get the best fights.
They have a very deep stable of fighters in that division as well like: Canelo Alvarez, Jermall Charlo, David Morrell, Caleb Plant and David Benavidez.

I hear you. But the best way too influence the price-setters is by buying it or not buying it. They WILL adjust over time. And if they exit someone else (probably more reasonable) will fill the gap. When a PPV is too high and doesn't get any participation from the fans, they notice. Same for fights that shouldn't be PPV. Now, sometimes I don't think a fight is PPV worthy (and don't get it), but a lot of other fans do and buy it. I circle back and watch them on Youtube or something later.Originally posted by kiaba360 View Post
Shouldn't the consumer have the right to complain about the money that we're being asked to pay? The more fights on PPV, the more we are expected to subsidize. The money has to come from somewhere. If it's not from networks, advertisers, then it's the audience. The easy thing to do would be for fans to stay silent and let the boxers/promoters dig their graves, instead of trying to hold them accountable. Boxing will play victim and complain when PPVs and events don't do well, but then not do anything to change its methods. If everything goes to ****, Boxing can't turn around and say the fans didn't warn them.

What you’re not understanding is that every post that Regge/Trey Shaw makes reeks of underlying racism. If Al Haymon were Hispanic, he’d be telling us what a great thing this is. The other day he posted that the sinking ship that is GBP/Oscar had more boxing clout than Bob Arum (who’s been promoting main event boxing for 50 plus years).Originally posted by Eff Pandas View Post
What are you talking about? More ppl got Prime Video/Amazon (200M) than Showtime/Paramount (63M), ESPN (24M) & DAZN (15M) combined.
Granted I get that the overall trend over the long haul is moving down from the Pabst Blue Ribbon Fight Night days when TV had 3 options to watch, but its a different world now & Amazon Prime is a move up from Showtime. Nothing is altering that trend tho so that is what it is.

I know this, you know this, Crawford however believes he should be making a mint each time out no matter who he fights or how few eyes are interested. It would an absolutely not surprise me if he went to dazn simply due to them paying him a large guaranteed contract. At that point, all those pbc names would have to come to him and since pbc has the best record of cross the street fights, all those names would do thatOriginally posted by Bronx2245 View PostThe best fights at 147: Stanionis, Thurman, Barrios, and Crowley! All PBC! Best fights at 154: Crawford, Spence, Tszyu, Charlo, Ramos, Fundora, and Lubin! All PBC!

I think that’s why many did it, to spite the council estate chav fans who were living vicariously through Eddie Hearn and pushing cheap low rent British nationalism via boxingOriginally posted by MastaBlasta
Yeah, I might have gave 'em some grief too just to spite some of the Brit fans. But honestly, the few times I watched DAZN, I used a Tablet via HDMI to the big screen. Nothing wrong with it.

I'm not mad at Crawford, at this point, and I would pay to see Canelo vs.Crawford! However, if he fought anyone at 147, besides Boots, I would lose a lot of respect for him!Originally posted by Oldskoolg View Post
