Comments Thread For: Bivol on Beterbiev: I See Him as a Great Fighter; Biggest Puncher in Boxing Today

Russian light heavyweight titlist Dmitry Bivol is fascinated by the idea of trading punches with Artur Beterbiev. Bivol, who holds the WBA 175-pound belt, spoke highly of his countryman and fellow titlist Beterbiev, who holds the remaining WBO, WBC, and IBF belts. The two were recently spotted in an informal face-off in Saudi Arabia ahead of the high-profile heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.

Hopefully, Beterviev is still in good form and dispatches of Smith, not trying to see Bivol vs Smith, absolutely not. That being, maybe Bivol is lucky enough and you have waited him out long enough.

Beterbiev if he’s prime still will beat Bivol. But if age has caught him, I’d back Bivol.

No one is prime at (almost) 39.

I think Smith will surprise a lot of people and the Beterbiev will age overnight. The fight with Yarde was a lot tougher than people credit and that will have put a lot of miles on Beterbiev’s clock at that age. I suspect the Bivol Beterbiev ship may already have sailed.

Slow Eddie needs to cash Bivol out before his contract is up
He knows it and so does Bivol , that is why , lately he’s been mentioning Artur’s name
This fight will be made late spring early summer

It will be nice to see a fight not surrounded by mountains of "boy talk." With mature, honest fighters like Bivol and Beterbiev their accomplishments do all the talking necessary or wanted.

Who thinks Beterbiev will get past Callum Smith? Is it my imagination or is Callum Smith a bigger puncher at light heavy than he was at super middle?

i wonder how much cash these two could make if they fight?

bud and spence eventually got it together for 10mil guarantee plus more in the end probably, dont think these guys will get anywhere close to that, maybe influences the desire for this fight possibly, not sure which one is causing the issues
