Do you forecast that "Firepower" will fail to sell more than the Mayweather/Marquez fight? Or do you project that Pacquiao / Cotto will sell more than Mayweather / Marquez?
i dont think so.. mayweather ppv power is greater than pacman

      I am expecting about 850-900k.
Any more than that will be a pleasant suprise.

I think it will do good, but not Numero Uno numbers, and the reason why is because right now in boxing Mayweather is the only true PPV star. Pac is a boxing star but not a PPV star, two different things. Cotto, I'm sorry but with his personality he is not helping the promotion one bit. Mayweather-Marquez just had so many storylines behind it- Floyd's comeback, Marquez's moving up in weight, Floyd's claim that he is still P4P #1, Marquez drinking Piss, Roger being arrested, Senior back in training camp, etc...

Pac-Cotto just doesn't have any identifiable storyline. Yes, we true fans no the stakes but casual fans dont even know what or why this fight is important. Even if the details are laid out on the next 24/7, will they care? So what Pac is challenging for a welterweight title, big deal. Thats not enough of a story to sell 1M PPV.

I'm only posting this to see if I'm in Haymon's ignore list.

no it won't do as much even though its an actual real life competitive fight unlike mayweather-midgey. the buzz was huge for that fight cause mayweather was all over tv and people wanted to see if the "p4p king" still had it. good marketing can do wonders it really can.

casual fans won't buy this fight cause they A. don't know about it and B. there's no gimmick story behind it like floyd's comeback.

I hope it does but i doubt it. It's got FOTY written all over it.And those who don't order it are gonna wish they did.

I'll take your bet, all my points says that Pac/cotto exceeds JMM/PBF's PPV sales

The rumours of my ignore list have been greatly exaggerated.
