When there’s a double standard just look at the skin tone. If you start to see a pattern against people with brown skin then you know it’s the usual racism in the sport.
Devin barely talks trash. He’s extremely humble and most trash talk is him defending himself from actual trash talk. We’ve seen canelo get disrespectful and trash talk a bunch of people. We’ve seen teo and Ryan do it all the time. Yet people are commenting that Devin talks too much trash?! Prejudice never hides.
Out of all the young dudes Devin was the only one being to fight em all. Devin was the only one accepting absolutely horrible offers because it was the only way to get the other guy to fight him. Devin took all the risks and came out on top.
Didn’t manny Pacquiao literally fight an Australian school teacher? A school teacher. A part time boxer. Where was the hatred for that? Are racists saying that Horn would’ve beaten canelo? Because they called Floyd a cherrypicker for fighting canelo. Yet gave Manny a pass with the schoolteacher.
Devin jumped up to 140 and without a tune up is fighting the most dangerous AND MOST PROVEN dude in the division. Regis is a 2x champion knockout artist in the division. Teo has one good win at the division. Regis is more proven at 140 than Teo. He’s been there longer, been a champion longer, and fought higher quality of opposition. Devin is copying Floyd by jumping up and fighting the top guy with no tune up. Manny took tuneups. Canelo took tuneups. Oscar took tuneups. Floyd immediately went after the #1 guy and now Devin is doing it.
Real boxing fans appreciate it. Do I think he retires undefeated? No. He’s taking so many risks and isn’t a hard puncher. But I also don’t think any of these young guys retire undefeated except maybe Shakur or Tank. That’s it. Just those two. Vargas boys get whooped. Regis already took an L. Teo took a L to someone Devin dominated effortlessly. (Just because Ik yall were going to argue teo beat taylor who beat Regis) (Well keep that same energy.)
Ryan is journeyman level and needs a few more fights against journeymen before stepping up to contenders. But he runs his mouth more than a boarding school of teenage girls. So people want to see him step up and get whooped again. Realistically he should only be fighting journeymen like Duarte. Although he needs to stop cherry-picking the smallest guys he can find and bringing them up 10lbs.
teo will hold his belt hostage. He’s not going to fight matias or Gary Russell. Devin and Regis are tied up. I’d like to see a rematch against Martin because that was a robbery. But teo is cut from canelo cloth NOT Floyd’s cloth. Floyd immediately rematched those controversial “close” fights. Immediately. Ran it back and dominated them even more the second time. Canelo nor teo are built like that.TheClap likes this.

Haney is a good fighter for now, so he might as well just focus on winning 'Because I don't really think he is in all honesty? As talented as Lomachenko'.
It was just that Lomachenko was maximized out in his abilities most likely at 130 pounds.
Note: It is nature within certain sections of society, to target anyone who is achieving 'Ether with negative or positive attention in mass'. Both forms of attention for me, are somewhat irrelevent 'Fighters need to become indifferent towards it' etc.

Good thing Ryan made up with Canelo, otherwise he wouldnt have learn his GGG I style of runninig in time for the Duarte fight.

Amazing. Only racists don't like Haney? How is my favorite active fighter Bud....and I think Haney is terrible....but I am a racist?
Clowns man. Racism is overlooking the fact that Haney is boring as hell, he lost to Loma, he has no power and yet he acts like he is the second coming of Floyd. And yet, you all look past all of that and say, nah, Haney is awesome because he is a black fighter. THAT is racism. You like him because of his skin color, like that matters at all.
You want to see how Haney really felt after the Loma fight, go look at him and his dad before the cards were reads. They knew they lost. Period.
Huggy bear needs to learn to sit down on a punch, stop talking so much and put on an entertaining performance. Then fans will support him. Just like Bud.Wacked_Out

pretty sure everyone hated on pacquiao-horn so not sure why you are trying to argue against a straw man there. horn was also the mandatory challenger which you left out
regis is not the best in teh division or the highest ranked. hes ranked third and lost to the guy lopez beat. hes been there longer and yet has accomplished less than lopez. why are you spinning that into something good lol. hes also 34 and looked like trash in his last fight getting a debatable decision, hmmm similar to when haney fought loma after loma looked like trash...a trend perhaps? haney is not fighting the #1 guy and floyd never immediately moved up and fought the #1 guy either unless you count castillo but floyd already had fought at 135 before. besides that floyd moved up and fought corley at 140, sharmba at 147 and a 6th ranked old hoya at 154. a real murderers row...haney vs prograis is a good fight but its not some amazing feat that will go down in boxing lore
dominated even more implies that he dominated the first fight but that was hardly the case now was it? he should have lost to castillo so how did he dominate that one? makes no sense. maidana was not a domination either but maybe floyd won. also canelo immediately rematched ggg and won so thats just flat out wrong as canelo did the very thing you are claiming he doesnt do. it was actually haney who just got a very controversial decision against loma but hes not rematching loma... oops.Last edited by daggum; 12-04-2023, 10:59 AM.

why do all these boxers think that everyone hates them?
haney himself has long proclaimed himself as p4p no1, him and his pops are often demanding to be 'crowned', that will irritate people because its just not true, he went on with ****** stuff with loma too calling him dirty and a cheat telling everyone he would retire him etc, when none of that is true, he shoved loma for no reason off the stage other than being a twat & now he thinks everyone hates him, hes actually not high on the hate list overall, just him impression & if everyone hated him so much how did he get those nice cards v loma, huh 8 rounds on one card, he was the a side protected guy, he should stop complaining i would say, he got the win which is the most important thing is it not, by FARCypocryphy likes this.
