                Actually this could be the way he earns the Canelo fight by looking good vs a respectable opponent. There is plenty of time until May after that for Canelo.

                    I remember when Canelo beat Liam Smith, and then Munguia fought Smith and it seemed a decent fight, see how far off Canelo he is etc. But that was so many years ago and Munguia still seems at the same point in his career, fighting guys who are proven to be of limited danger. Could even argue Smith was better than Ryder.

                    Ryder is past-prime and doesn't have a big punch. He's tough and has heart but expect him to be outworked by the younger man.
