Mungia needs to KO Ryder to even be considered as one of Canelo’s future opponents. That said, Mungia, IMO, will be tested against a tough fighter in Ryder. To me, it makes sense that if Mungia beats Ryder, very likely, he needs to fight Berlanga next. After he beats the breaks off of Berlanga, he should be next in line at a crack at Canelo.

Not sure what to think here
My thinking is Munguia will make this look harder than it should be
That said , he is gonna give Ryder the opportunity to win this

This is smart by team Munguía, keeps him active and in shape and sharpen his tools vs a canelo like opponent as far as physical attributes. Similar size and weight and reach to canelo, and will get him ready for the showdown in may, should he win of course

As much as I like Munguia, it's hard to rate him. He should be much better for someone who gets this kind of attention.

              Make it make sense.

As I suspected, this was baseless speculation designed to get the emotional boxing community engaging with YouTube grifter channels. Zero chance Munguia would have signed a January fight with Ryder if he had a Canelo fight lined up.

I can see Munguia stopping Ryder because he averages throwing more punches per round than Canelo who averages only 28 punches per round.
