benavidez has been #1 at 168 for 4 years now and canelo still hasnt fought him. ennis isnt even #1 at 147. mandatories dont matter. they usually are trash. it would be a good fight no doubt and hopefully it happens if both stay at the weight but its not like canelo-benavidez at all. in fact ennis has never even beaten a top 10 fighter so his high ranking is pretty inflated and based on hype/others losing/leaving division.

i mean in any of the non belt rankings like ring, tbrb, etc...they have him at #3 where benavidez has been #1 in all those rankings for 4 years now. belt rankings dont matter they are completely corrupt. look at all the bums they ranked highly for wilder to fight for example. you could be #1 in the wba, wbc, etc... and be a complete bum. they purposefully put bad fighters high in teh rankings when the champs want easy fights, not saying ennis is bad but it doesnt mean much to be highly ranked by a belt organization. its like when haney was calling out loma and had never fought anyone, its nice to do that but loma meanwhile was fighting the real #1 ranked guy and haney said he was ducking him lol. if crawford fights some random bum next instead of ennis then thats not a good look, i just think crawford is in the weighing his options phase so pretty quick to say hes ducking
