Why do you guys think Benavidez beats Canelo?

It is not like Benavidez is the hardest hitter Canelo would face. I am pretty sure Bivol and shot version Kovalev both hit harder.

I believe Canelo can take his best shots and go away with decision. But I am not so sure Benavidez will be happy feeling Canelo`s punches. Saul for sure hits harder than Plant and Andrade lol.

Benavidez has youth on his side and he has a great stamina, that is it. But, again, good luck with stopping Canelo. Unless he has cruiserweight level power, I don`t see it.

I expect it to be a fight of two halves. Canelo is the sharper boxer and likely outboxes him early but when he gasses, those last 6 rounds will be hell for him.

Canelo doesn’t like to fight at a high pace and he doesn’t like to pushed onto the back foot. Benavidez will do both. His size, speed, strength and volume will definitely give Canelo big problems.

It’s a 50/50 fight for me, but I’d lean towards Benavidez.

Because beenvidez is a big tall, legit 6'2 168lber. He is controls range extremely well with a jab and lead right hand.
canelo is 5-7 . There is a huge size advantage

Canelo has bad stamina, bad work rate vs a guy who has great stamina, and high work rate.

If you canr see that benevidez is a style matchup problem for canelo, you need to switch sports.

Theres a reason canelo hasnt fought him and has fought a fighter 2 weight clases below him, fighting mungoa next, and fought for his title after he had it stripped.

I think he outworks Canelo. Those rounds Saul tends to labor in is blood in the water for someone with the work rate and tenacity of Benavidez.

I do believe Saul has more power in his shots, so we'll see how he reacts to eating those, but style-wise it seems David is all wrong for him.

Carnela is not some great fighter. Dude has overrated defence and power. I see that fight going similar to last night. Carnela gonna pick his shots against the cardboard benavidez, try to move around until he inevitably gets tired and he'll just survive til the final bell. But this time he won't get a gift like he's used to getting.

I dont think canelo can keep him off him. He will outwork and manhandle canelo.

Look at canelo's last 4 fights, he has dropped off and he couldnt hurt any of those guys, why would we think he can hurt David? If he cant hurt him does he have a plan B? there really is no plan B, canelo has cement feet, its not like he can stick and move for 12 if Canelo cant hurt him

Why do you think Canelo will win? Canelo's claim to fame is getting robbery wins or Ls vs. the best competition he has faced. Benavidez is what Canelo claims/tries to be: a real warrior who truly enjoys fighting. Benavidez will beat the **** out of Canelo, who will be made to look like an adopted son.
